Are you planning to study in Poland but need to improve your Polish?

Join the 9-month preparatory Polish language course for foreigners, organised by Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University, and begin your educational journey with confidence and linguistic fluency.

This course is your path to reaching level B2, which will enable you to start your studies at our University – and beyond. Thanks to the intensive programme, practical classes and the support of experienced lecturers, you will be well prepared for both academic studies and everyday life in Poland.

Why choose this course?

  • Reach level B2 in just 9 months – the level required to study in Polish.
  • Get ready for studying in Poland – master academic language and learn about student life.
  • Study in Krakow – a city of students, culture and unlimited opportunities.
  • Gain an advantage from the very beginning – you will understand lectures, academic texts, and know how to write various types of texts, but most importantly, you will thrive in an international community.

Who is it for?

The preparatory course is designed for:

  • foreigners who want to start their studies in Poland,
  • candidates with a minimum Polish language level of A2,
  • those who want to learn the language quickly and effectively in an academic context.

Applicants with a lower level of Polish may enrol in Introductory Online Polish Courses (available also online). Applicants will be assigned to courses based on the results of a placement procedure.

What will you learn?

During the course, you will develop your speaking, writing, reading and listening skills – all at a level necessary for studying in Poland.
The programme includes:

  • working with authentic materials (press, literary and scientific texts),
  • learning general and academic vocabulary, and grammar structures,
  • practising formal writing and giving presentations,
  • preparation for the B2 language exam,
  • integration and orientation workshops to make life in Poland easier.
